The best of Icelandic maritime technology was especially well featured last week at the 2019 NEVA exhibition in St. Petersburg as Skaginn 3X presented alongside the other founding members of Knarr Maritime Consortium. Since 1991 NEVA has played an integral part in supporting the rapid expansion of Russia’s commercial maritime industries.
Skaginn 3X exhibited at the event alongside Knarr Maritime Consortium, of which they are a founding member. Knarr Maritime Consortium was established to design, develop and build state-of-the-art turnkey fishing vessels centered around Icelandic technology. At this year’s NEVA show all six founding members exhibited together, showcasing the latest in ship-building and onboard processing technology.
“It’s crucial for us to participate in trade shows such as NEVA in St. Petersburg, as they allow us strengthen the relationships we have with current and prospective clients in Russia,” says Regional Sales Manager for Russia Pétur Jakob Pétursson. “It’s no secret that the maritime industry as a whole is booming in Russia, and we at Skaginn 3X are proud to be a part of these exciting times in maritime history.”
