Skaginn 3X enjoyed great interest at the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition that took place in Iceland from 13th to 15th September. Contracts were signed and crowds were drawn to exhibits highlighting new innovations, including video material from HB Grandi covering the first fishing trips of the new fresh fish trawler Engey RE 91.
Knarr Maritime and the wide solution range of vessels and onboard solutions were featured at several stands with participating companies, such as Skaginn 3X, Frost and Naust Marine. The award ceremony confirmed the leading position of Knarr member companies. Skaginn 3X got awarded as the best company in the field of large food processing equipment providers. The Naval Architecture part of Knarr Maritime also got awarded, including the “Overall outstanding Supplier Awards” to Mr. Bardur Hafsteinsson from Skipataekni for the innovative design of the new Icelandic fishing vessels as well as lifetime achievement as a ship designer and naval architect.
Skaginn 3X and Knarr where simultaneously exhibiting at the Global Fisheries Forum & Exhibition in St. Petersburg, Russia where the formal establishment of Knarr Russia was announced by Icelandic Fisheries Minister Mrs. Thorgerdur Katrin Gunnarsdottir. Attending proved to be well worth the effort with important high-quality meetings taking place. To follow through the third exhibition in two weeks is NEVA, Knarr Maritime will exhibit at Stand F4501 at NEVA in St. Petersburg from the 19th to 22nd September.
